We all recognize that will popcorn is just one of the most popular snacks -  as well as why not? It's relatively low cost, easy to make, and choices good all the time. Below are a few lesser known specifics regarding popcorn:

1. Popcorn is said to begin by Mexico. The ancient Indians used it not only as food, additionally decorative purposes on head-dresses. In truth, corn became a staple and had therefore many uses and methods of preparation. The traditional technique of popping corn was, at that time, throwing the kernels on hot stones and, once they popped, trying to catch them. The reward from the game could be that the winner got more snacking pleasure.

2. Corn flakes, the favorite breakfast cereal, are actually a derivative of popcorn. Once the English arrived at Massachusetts some centuries ago, they mixed it with milk and sugar.

3.The pop in the popcorn may be a very forceful procedure. The starch and liquid inside the corn warm up right away and also the hull of the kernel cannot contain the pressure - a lot like a pressure cooker that explodes if you experience no safety release. A kernel can jump nearly 3 feet high when that pop occurs.

4. Popcorn isn't only a tasty snack; it's responsible for an enormous amount of money exchanging hands. The modern way of making popcorn - simple by using a microwave oven - is, by itself,  in charge of for $250 billion each year. That is exactly the microwavable one!

5. The average American eats about 70 quarts of popcorn each year. Once you calculate this, we arrive at an astonishing 17.5 billion quarts yearly. Basically, if you would take all the popcorn eaten yearly from the Americans, you would be able to fill over 36,000 average-sized American homes, from ceiling to roof!

6. Popcorn makers were originally created to be dragged and sent around on carnivals, to cinemas and festivals. It  has not been until 1925 that people started getting popcorn machines for home-use. Then, after the depression and the First World War,  very few could afford them, though.

7. The Papago Indians in Arizona still make popcorn that old-fashioned way. They'll use clay pots, some of which use a diameter up to 8 feet. Apparently this kind of tradition is a lot more than 1,500 years old.

8. In October, 2006, the world's largest popcorn ball was unveiled. That happened in Lake Forest, Illinois. The huge ball measured 8 feet in diameter and weighed 3,415 pounds.
Interesting, isn't it, how deep the tradition of popcorn has its roots. It makes it all the tastier to me.

GH Cretors Popcorn Chicago Mix Review !

Cretors carmel-cheese popcorn is great! I live outside Chicago, so we could get Garrett's Popcorn. I selected this kind of brand of chicago popcorn based about the ratings of individuals that had bought the product. I purchased these on impulse The mix sounded interesting and the particular reviews were outstanding. Wow, this stuff is good. Not simply would be the flavors great but the popcorn is a wonderful consistency.  Just very fresh new tasting and wow...incredible. I must admit which it was the better flavor experience I've ever received. Simply incredible. I’d never heard about these products, nor am I from Chicago, so mixing caramel and cheese popcorn seemed a bit weird to my opinion. However I stumbled across a large bag in this stuff at Costco and decided it looked like an interesting, healthier-than-potato-chips snack for the kids. Good size , simple enjoy a full bag a single sitting. Make sure to shake the bag a bit before opening because heavier caramel corn is likely to  to sink to the bottom from the bag.
I needed to order popcorn completely from the Garrett website, however the shipping cost was just too much. i thought about other choices. And i also choose here. I need to purchase this again, but I am afraid I am going to eat all this by myself!!! It is the type that if you start it, you may take in the whole bag it is so very delicious! Beware, I'm not really kidding. Be prepared to become addicted. Love this stuff. Price was great. I've been giving that away to friends and family and and they're loving it!
